The Barking Lot is a dog grooming salon at 59 Albany Road, Lymm, WA13 9LT, run by Jeanette. This notice explains what personal information we hold about you, why, and what your rights are.

This website

This website does not collect any personal information. There are no forms, accounts, cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted by Cloudflare, whose servers keep standard security logs (such as IP addresses) for a short period to protect against attacks.

When you book an appointment

To book and carry out a groom we keep:

• your name and phone number
• your dog’s name, breed and any notes that help us groom them safely, such as health issues or sensitivities
• appointment history and payment status

We use this to run your appointment, contact you about it, send booking confirmations and reminders by text message, and keep a record of previous grooms so we can look after your dog consistently. We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.

Who handles it

Our bookings and reminders are managed through Xorda, an appointment system for local businesses. Xorda stores this information on our behalf and only uses it to provide the booking service. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your card details.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records while you remain a customer and for up to three years after your last appointment, so returning dogs can be looked after with their history in mind. After that they are deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted at any time. Just call us on 01925 552110 or mention it at your next visit. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
